The dark, gloomy clouds during the monsoon or rainy season bring along with it a dull and depressing feel around us. Generally it is seen that when the monsoon arrives, people begin to dress shabbily or find reasons for staying indoors to prevent dressing up. For defying this glum indeed it is crucial that we try something for making ourselves happier and better. And what can be better than staying fashionable and dressing up as per the latest trends.  Do not allow the rain water in dampening your spirit and preventing you to miss out on the fun that takes place only during the monsoons. Below are some factors which are necessary to safely dress during the rainy season yet at the same time appear cool and gorgeous as ever.

  • Clothes- The monsoon season is the most opportune time for shuffling your cupboard and pulling out the different funky attires which you have kept away for months. Try dungarees teamed with T-shirts in bright colors having floral prints. Avoid wearing clothes made of fabrics such as thick cottons, mixes, cords and denims and instead wear lighter fabrics such as chiffon which can dry easily even if you get wet in the rain. Cotton leggings with hip-length or short tops, skirts, capris and knee length dress resting on the structure of the body will make an ideal wear while out during the rains. For a party wear or an evening wear, try Lycra pants and chic shirts or Lycra business suits which are easier to wash off.

  • Accessories- for a happening and chic look, complement your attire with some funky monsoon accessory. Buy trendy umbrellas and raincoats which will add spice to the monsoon dressing. For that complete look it is good to purchase monsoon foot wears which, along with looking hep will also offer protection to the feet. You can try wearing cool rubber sandals and Chappals or those made of other good quality water-resistant materials which are durable but trendy.

  • Make-up- Your look will remain incomplete without the right make-up. It is best to keep the make-up minimum and have it light. Waterproof products will be the right pick so that your face is not messed up because of the rain droplets. Pastel shades will be just perfect for this season as it adds some drama and a refreshing look to the face. Always use waterproof lipsticks, mascaras and eyeliners which stay longer. Products having a matte finish are ideal for rainy days because it will not make your face appear sticky and oily

Although keeping the skin and hair clean and clear is the mantra for every season yet the rainy season demands more extra care because enough moisture is already present in the air which is likely to dampen the skin. Choose a hairstyle that is hustle free so that it does not mess up during the monsoons. Keep the scalp clean and wash it regularly using a mild shampoo. Above all, keep safe and healthy, avoid consuming greasy food and prevent walking on streets that is muddy to avoid skin-infection. Follow these tips and enjoy the rains.
